TechnoBuilders Repair AI (TAICOS)
Last updated: 10 September 2026 | Effective: 10 September 2026
TechnoBuilders Network and Data Solution, operating as TechnoBuilders Repair AI (“TAICOS”, “we”, “us”), provides an AI repair-diagnostics and shop-management platform for technicians and repair businesses in the Philippines. This policy explains how personal information is handled, in compliance with Republic Act No. 10173 (the Data Privacy Act of 2012), its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and the issuances of the National Privacy Commission (NPC).
TAICOS holds two different kinds of personal information, and our responsibility differs for each. The distinction matters because it decides who must answer to whom.
Information about you, the person who signed up: your username, full name, email address, phone number, profile photo, shop name and shop phone, your subscription and payment records, and your correspondence with us. We decide how this is used, and this policy governs it.
When you record a repair job, you enter information about your customer: their name, phone number, sometimes an email address, an address for on-site work, and photographs of their device. You may also enter details of your own staff or technicians.
You decided to collect that information and you decided why. Under RA 10173 that makes you the Personal Information Controller for it, and TAICOS the Personal Information Processor acting on your instructions. We process it only to provide the service to you. We do not use it for our own purposes, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to train artificial-intelligence models.
You may attach photos to a repair job, to an inventory item, or to your profile. Device photos are often taken inside a customer's home or business, so treat them as you would any other record about that customer. Photos are stored on our server and are visible to you and to authorised staff of your shop. They are not published anywhere and are not used to train AI models.
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information.
We use the following providers to operate TAICOS. Each has its own privacy policy. Several are located outside the Philippines — see §9.
| Provider | What it does / what it receives | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Anthropic | AI diagnosis and assistant replies. Receives your question and the device context supplied with it. Anthropic’s Commercial Terms, which govern API use, state that Anthropic may not train models on customer content submitted through the API. | United States |
| Voyage AI | Converts knowledge-base text and your query into numerical form so relevant repair documents can be found. Receives query text. | United States |
| Google (Gemini) | Secondary AI processing for selected features. Receives query text. | United States |
| Google Places | Finds nearby suppliers and shops. Receives a search term and an approximate location. | United States |
| Serper | Web and marketplace search for parts. Receives a part description only. | United States |
| Mouser, DigiKey | Live electronic-component stock and pricing. Receive a part number only — no personal data. | United States |
| Semaphore | SMS delivery. Receives the mobile number and message text of the technician you assign to a job. | Philippines |
| PayMongo | Subscription and payment processing, including GCash, Maya and QRPH. Card and wallet details go to PayMongo directly — TAICOS never receives or stores your card number. | Philippines |
| Meta Platforms | Facebook Messenger integration. Receives and returns your PSID and message text when you message our page. | United States |
| Namecheap | Server hosting. The TAICOS application, database and uploaded files are stored on a virtual server operated by Namecheap. | United States |
A technician or shop may issue a Repair Passport: a verifiable record of a repair that anyone holding the link can read without logging in. That is the purpose — a future buyer can check what was done to a device.
A Passport shows the device make and model, the last four characters of the serial number, the work performed, the issuing technician's name and the shop name. It contains no customer name, phone number or address — the record has no field for them, so they cannot appear. The link contains a long random identifier and is not listed or indexed by us, but anyone given the link can open it.
If you issue a Passport, your name and your shop's name become publicly visible on that record. You may revoke a Passport at any time from your workspace.
When you ask TAICOS a question, the question and relevant device details are sent to an AI provider (§4) to generate a reply. Do not paste customer identity details, card numbers or passwords into the assistant — it does not need them to diagnose a fault.
Two safeguards are built into the system rather than promised on paper:
Questions that the knowledge base answers poorly are logged as text so we can improve coverage. If you type a name or number into a question, it will appear in that log — another reason not to.
No system is completely secure. If you suspect unauthorised access to your account, contact support@technobuilders.tech immediately.
We are stating this plainly rather than promising a schedule we do not operate.
Several providers in §4 operate servers outside the Philippines, principally in the United States. Using TAICOS involves transferring the relevant data to those jurisdictions. We remain accountable for personal data passed to a provider and select providers that maintain security standards consistent with the Data Privacy Act.
If a breach affects your account data and meets the threshold in RA 10173 and NPC Circular 16-03, we will notify the National Privacy Commission and the affected individuals within seventy-two (72) hours of becoming aware of it.
If a breach affects data you entered about your customers or staff, we will notify you without undue delay and within seventy-two (72) hours, with the information you need to make your own notification. Because you are the controller of that data, the duty to notify the NPC and the affected individuals is yours; we will assist.
If you become aware of a breach, tell us at support@technobuilders.tech as soon as possible.
As a data subject under RA 10173 you have the right to be informed, to access your data, to correct it, to have it erased or blocked, to object to processing, to data portability, to be indemnified for damages, and to lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.
To exercise any of these rights over your own account data, contact support@technobuilders.tech. We aim to respond within 15 business days.
If you are a repair customer and a shop using TAICOS holds your details, please contact that shop directly — they decide what is collected and are the controller of it. If you contact us, we will refer you to them and notify them of your request.
You may also contact the National Privacy Commission at privacy.gov.ph.
TAICOS is intended for people aged 18 and above working in or studying repair. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.
We have designated a Data Protection Officer responsible for compliance with RA 10173 and for receiving privacy enquiries and complaints.
